Brian Lau, MD

Dr. Brian Lau is an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon, specializing in injuries of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle/foot. He currently serves as the team physician for Duke Athletics, including soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and Olympic sports. His clinical areas of expertise include shoulder stabilization, rotator cuff surgery, superior capsular reconstruction, and reverse arthroplasty. Dr. Lau is also involved in the treatment of knee conditions such as ACL and meniscus surgery, patellar stabilizations, multi-ligament knee injuries, and advanced techniques for cartilage preservation and restoration. He utilizes the latest minimally invasive techniques to treat foot and ankle injuries, including ankle instability, cartilage restoration, Achilles injuries, and fractures.
