Brian R. Waterman, MD

Dr. Brian Waterman is a board-certified, Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric sports medicine, cartilage restoration and joint preservation, complex knee surgery, and shoulder and elbow care. He served in the U.S. Army for 13 years, earning multiple honors including the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal. During his fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, he served as a team physician for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire (MLS), and Chicago Steel (USHL). As Chief and Fellowship Director for Sports Medicine, he is passionate about medical education and patient-centered care. Dr. Waterman is currently a team physician for Wake Forest University (Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer), Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox), U.S. Ski and Snowboard, and several Triad area high schools.
