David J. Tennent, MD

Dr. David Tennent is a board-certified Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon at Evans Army Community Hospital located in Ft. Carson, Colorado.  He is currently the Chief of the Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic and the Sports Medicine Service and has also served as the Director of the Human Research Protections office. Dr. Tennent supports the Army’s Olympic athletes associated with the World Class Athlete Program and the US Army Special Forces.  Prior to joining Evans Army Community Hospital, he completed his internship and residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, as well as a research program in conjunction with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Dr. Tennent then completed his Fellowship training at the John A Feagin Jr. Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship at West Point, NY where he served as a team physician for the West Point football, hockey, lacrosse, track, and cross-country teams.  His current practice focuses on the treatment of complex ligamentous and cartilage injuries to the knee, shoulder instability, and arthroscopic hip preservation.
