Julie Y. Bishop, MD

Dr. Julie Y. Bishop is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in shoulder surgery and a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics. She is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at The Ohio State University and is currently Chief of the Division of Shoulder Surgery. Dr. Bishop also serves as the Vice Chair of Finance and Compensation and as the Administrative Vice Chair for the Department of Orthopaedics. She has extensive experience treating difficult shoulder pathologies and is an active member of the Multicenter Orthopaedic Outcome Network (MOON) Shoulder group as well as a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society, the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, as well as American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She has published extensively in the field of shoulder surgery, including multiple book chapters and scientific articles, and is currently involved in several shoulder-related clinical and basic science research projects. Dr. Bishop has a keen interest in treating shoulder instability in the contact athlete and is very excited to be a part of the groundbreaking OASIS Trial.
